Return of batteries according to the battery law

Batteries are included with many devices. Batteries or rechargeable batteries can also be installed in the devices themselves. In connection with the distribution of these batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are legally obliged as a merchant to inform customers of the following:

Please dispose of old batteries as prescribed by the legislator at a municipal collection point (local municipality), in special old battery containers or hand these in for free at a local retail shop.

You are legally obliged to do so.

Disposal in the household trash is explicitly prohibited according to the battery law.

Batteries that you receive from us can be returned to us free of charge after use if you do not wish to use the disposal options in your area or sent back to us by mail to the following address:

Kandinsky Deutschland GmbH, Königsberger Str. 100, 40231 Dusseldorf

Batteries containing pollutants are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash can. The corresponding chemical description of the pollutant is provided under the trash can symbol. These labels mean the following:

"Cd" = cadmium

"Pb" = lead

"Hg" = mercury

This information is also provided in the operating instructions.

Note on old electronic appliances

Old electronic appliances may not be disposed of in household trash, but must rather be collected separately. For that reason, all electronics that can be used in a private household are labeled with a "crossed-out dustbin on wheels".

This symbol indicates that this device may not be disposed of in the household trash.

Old batteries as well as old accumulators, that are not enclosed in an electronic appliance, must be removed prior to the disposal. Please also take care to delete any personal data from the electronic device before disposing of this.

For you as a private household, returns to us or your communal recycling center are free of charge. Your city or municipality can provide you with the addresses and opening hours of the municipal recycling centers. An online directory of the recycling and return centers are available here: https://www.ear-system.de/earverzeichnis/sammel-und-ruecknahmestellen.jsf
